The job fair is free to attend, and all candidates will be eligible to win a door prize. The event is being held at the Highland Conference Center in Mitchell.

Of the hundreds of jobs, about half of them are full-time positions, according to Jacki Miskimins, Regional Workforce Coordinator for the Mitchell Area Development Corporation. About 90 are part-time, with the remainder being summer or internship opportunities.

The 30-plus businesses and organizations registered span a variety of industries, Miskimins said, including health care, manufacturing, business services, telecommunications, retail, hospitality, education and construction.

In addition to the businesses looking to hire, the Department of Labor will be on hand to assist job seekers with information and resources. For those interested in moving to Mitchell, relocation information will be available as well.
