A 20-year-old Mitchell woman is accused of stealing more than $1,100 in merchandise from a local store.
Ariann Cristine Taglioli is charged with grand theft and faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine if convicted. The charge stems from a May 9 incident at Walmart in Mitchell in which Taglioli allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, which she allegedly hid in tote bags.
She is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
