David Stevens, executive director of the Mitchell United Way, said funding applications for the 2017 calendar year are available at the Mitchell United Way office at 417 N. Main St., Suite No. 103.
Applications for any new organizations that are interested in becoming a member need to be completed and returned to the United Way office by April 29.
If any new organization is interested in making an application to the Mitchell United Way, they can contact Stevens at 996-3915 or download an application form and guidelines from our website at www.mitchellunitedway.org/official-forms.html.
Any organization applying for 2017 funding must be a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and meet other criteria before it can be considered as a qualified participant under the Mitchell United Way. These qualifications are explained in detail with the application forms.
Agencies who are currently receiving funding from the Mitchell United Way have an application deadline of May 27.
