A Mitchell man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a rape charge.
River Malatare, 19, entered his plea during court at the Davison County Public Safety Center.
Malatare is accused of fourth-degree rape for having sex with a victim more than three years younger than him.
Judge Tim Bjorkman scheduled a jury trial in February. Bjorkman authorized a bond reduction on the condition Malatare also participate in the 24/7 Sobriety program and have no contact with the victim.
