Mitchell Technical Institute has selected a student to be the speaker for commencement scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday at the Corn Palace.

Jean Van Driel, business management, of Mitchell, will deliver the graduation address. Next year's student body president Travis Smith, electrical construction and maintenance, of New Underwood, will give the invocation and benediction.

Karen Clark, general education instructor, will deliver the faculty address.

There will be 439 diplomas issued to students in 32 programs.

The ceremony is open to the public. There are no tickets or reserved seats. For more information, contact the MTI marketing office at 995-3026.
