Mitchell Parks and Rec public forum planned for Nov. 17

The city of Mitchell Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Technology Center amphitheater, Mitchell Technical Institute, Mitchell.

The city of Mitchell Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Technology Center amphitheater, Mitchell Technical Institute, Mitchell.

PROS Consulting will be presenting the initial master plan draft and soliciting public input during this event. There will an opportunity for public input during and after the presentation.

Everyone is welcome to attend and share ideas for parks and recreation in Mitchell. This will be the final public presentation before the master plan is finalized.

PROS Consulting was selected by the Parks and Recreation Board to develop a comprehensive master plan for the department. The group is a strategic master planning firm focusing on services in government agencies with specialized experience in parks and recreation and open space planning. Public input helps develop the master plans for the next 10 years.
