A Mitchell man received a suspended prison sentence Tuesday for a drug conviction.
Brian Volk, 38, was sentenced to 90 days in jail during court at the Davison County Public Safety Center.
He pleaded guilty to selling marijuana to a confidential police informant in September.
He will serve the first 30 days of his sentence starting Monday. He will serve the second 30 days in October 2014 and the last 30 days in October 2015.
He must pay a $500 fine, $104 in court costs, $197.40 in prosecution costs and serve 30 months of probation. He must also enroll in the 24/7 Sobriety program, cannot have alcohol or drugs, can’t gamble and must remain employed.
