A Mitchell man was arrested April 23 for allegedly stealing more than $1,000 from his employer's home.
Lukas Lingemann, 24, is charged with grand theft, a felony with a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. According to court documents, the charge stems from a series of incidents that occurred over the four months prior to Lingemann's arrest, during which he allegedly stole more than $1,000 in cash from his employer's home, where he was working on a remodel.
Video surveillance recorded Lingemann going through different items in the home's bedroom, including a lock box, court documents say.
Lingemann later admitted to police that he stole money from the lock box, court documents say.
Lingemann is scheduled to appear in court in May.
