A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday morning after breaking into his girlfriend's home and assaulting her.
Lawrence Thunder Horse, of Mitchell, allegedly broke into the home of his girlfriend on Friday morning in the 1700 block of North Wisconsin Street while she was sleeping and put his hands around her neck. According to Officer Kelly Loudenburg, when she tried to scream, Thunder Horse put his hand across her mouth, and broke her cell phone when she attempted to call for help. The victim was able to escape and get to safety at a neighbor's home.
Thunder Horse was charged with aggravated assault, property damage and interference with emergency communication.
