A Mitchell man is accused of assault, causing injuries, and pointing a pistol at someone.
Brian Behrens, 27, entered the victim's home by knocking on the door then pushing his way through when the victim opened the door, court documents state. When in the kitchen, Behrens assaulted the victim, causing a cut on the victim's head and blood on his face, according to court documents. During the altercation, Behrens pulled a pistol on the victim and struck the victim in the face with the gun, which caused the cut to the victim's head.
According to court documents, Behrens had never been to the home before, nor was he invited.
The victim was taken to the local hospital for treatment.
