The Mitchell Fire Division is flushing hydrants in all parts of the city. It will continue into the summer.
This can stir up residue in water lines, so if residents see firefighters in their area, Fire Marshal Marius Laursen advises people to run an empty load in a washer before doing clothes to avoid damage or discoloration.
