Various techniques, including open flash, black light and solarization, were used to create this month's submissions to the Mitchell Camera Club's contest.
The Mitchell Camera Club met on Feb. 5 at Signatures restaurant. This meeting was a combination of the judging meeting and the regular meeting.
The contest category for February was "Unusual Techniques." Some of the other techniques used in this month's contest were: Painting with light, chemical film , altering, burning film, multiple flash and film sandwiching, according to Camera Club member, Jim Kost.
Some of the photographers used more than one of these techniques to create the effect they desired in their image. Due to the subject matter of the winning print, Ty Smith chose to put a different picture in its place.
