WOONSOCKET — A Missouri man has been taken into custody after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a rural Woonsocket residence.
Quentin Hackley, 45, of Higginsville, Missouri, faces three charges related to an assault and stolen vehicle which was recovered about 40 miles away.
Sanborn County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Jason Coenen said late Thursday that Hackley assaulted an elderly female driver by pushing her to the ground and taking her 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The female driver suffered minor injuries.
Hackley and the vehicle was found in Howard and was taken into custody by the Miner County Sheriff's Office. He has been charged with grand theft, simple assault and ingestion of a controlled substance.
Hackley is being held in the Beadle County Jail in Huron.
