Minnie Ringling, 63, Omaha, Neb., formerly of the Platte-New Holland area, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Ashland Care Center, Ashland, Neb.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Holland Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. Rich DeVries, Omaha, officiating. Burial will be in Platte City Cemetery. Visitation will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Platte Funeral Chapel.
She was born on April 19, 1928, near New Holland to John and Rickie Bergakker.
On Feb. 18, 1946, she married Cliff Ringling in New Holland.
They farmed in the Platte/New Holland area until 1965, when they moved to Omaha.

She is survived by her children: Delwyn and wife Deborah; and Terry and wife Linde, all of Valley, Neb.; William DeGroot, Modesto, Calif.; Patty DeGroot, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Dennis Valentine and wife Vicki, Hastings, Neb.; seven granddaughters, 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Diena Bergeson and Gertrude Backes, both of Platte.
