The Mitchell High School speech and debate team is raking in the wins.
The teams competed in the Rushmore Challenge this weekend hosted by Harrisburg High School.
The team of Grace Lentz and Thea Patrick took first in informative speaking, while Patrick also took home first in varsity original oratory. Patrick also competed in varsity public forum alongside Madison Hetland, earning second as a team. Hetland also garnered a fourth-place finish in domestic extemporaneous.
RyLeigh Christopherson also took home a first-place finish in the novice original oratory. Fellow teammate Jaclyn McMillen took fourth in the same category and second place in novice extemporaneous.
