MHS Speech and Debate compete in weekend tournament

Mitchell High School students again fared well at a speech and debate tournament held over the weekend.

The MHS Speech and Debate team competed at the Sioux Falls Lincoln Silver Bowl with Thea Patrick taking first in varsity informative speaking.

In novice informative speaking, Grace Lentz took second, and Caleb Jarding placed fifth in varsity domestic extemp.

Patrick and Jarding had a 3-2 record in varsity public forum, while Caleigh Sanchez and Jaclyn McMillen had a 3-2 record in novice public forum.
