SIOUX FALLS (AP) -- Officials in Sioux Falls in late summer will unveil a draft of a master plan for the immediate area around the city's new events center.
Construction is starting this summer on the $115 million events center approved by voters last November. The media reports that the plan will look at the immediate area around the center and also the larger area around the existing Arena and Convention Center.
Neighborhood residents have expressed worries about potential problems such as trash, noise and parking issues. Assistant city planning director Jeff Schmitt says the master plan will address those concerns and lay out a roadmap for future development.
