PIERRE - Sobriety checkpoints are scheduled for 17 different counties during March, according to the S.D. Department of Public Safety.

March checkpoints are scheduled for these area counties: Davison, Jerauld and Lyman.

Checkpoints are designed to discourage people from drinking and driving and are conducted by the S.D. Highway Patrol.
