One man was taken to the hospital on Sunday after his vehicle went into a ditch along Interstate 90.
Shortly before 8 p.m., the 60-year-old male driver was westbound on I-90 about halfway between Mitchell and Alexandria when he lost control of the vehicle, Hanson County Sheriff Brandon Wingert said.
The man's car came to rest in about a foot of water in the north ditch and sustained minor damage. The man, whose name has not been released, was transported by ambulance to Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell. Wingert said the man's condition was unknown as of Monday morning.
No charges have been filed against the driver, who was the only person involved. The Hanson County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
