MOBRIDGE (AP) - Authorities say a Pine Ridge man has been saved from drowning in Lake Oahe near Mobridge.
The Aberdeen American News reports that 33-year-old Edwin TwoEagle inhaled water Monday and became motionless in the lake.
His girlfriend unsuccessfully tried to pull him from the lake, but a different woman was able to get TwoEagle out of the water.
TwoEagle coughed up water once on shore, and he was taken to a local hospital before getting transported by helicopter to Bismarck, North Dakota.
