Man pleads not guilty to killing Sioux Falls woman

SIOUX FALLS (AP) -- A homeless sex offender has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and manslaughter in the killing of a Sioux Falls woman inside her apartment.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) - A homeless sex offender has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and manslaughter in the killing of a Sioux Falls woman inside her apartment.

Fifty-seven-year-old Arthur Brundige is charged in the Nov. 22 strangulation death of 39-year-old Sabrina White. The Argus Leader reports that he entered his pleas on Monday. Judge Susan Sabers scheduled trial to begin March 2.

Brundige is a registered sex offender because of sexual conduct convictions in Minnesota and Nebraska in the 1980s. He faces life in prison or possibly the death penalty if convicted in White's slaying.

He remains jailed on a $750,000 cash-only bond.
