LAKE ANDES-A Sioux Falls man accused in August of raping a 9-year-old girl in Charles Mix County pleaded guilty last week to indecent exposure involving a child.
Bradford Lehrkamp, 36, will be sentenced for the Class 6 felony on March 6.
Lehrkamp and his brother, 25-year-old Darren Lehrkamp, were both initially charged with committing sexual offenses against the same girl in 2017.
Bradford Lehrkamp was charged with first-degree rape of a child under 13, a Class C felony punishable by up to life in prison, and sexual contact with a child under 16, a Class 3 felony. After his arrest, a charge for being a habitual offender with a prior felony was added, as he was convicted of simple assault on a law enforcement officer on May 14.
Those charges were all dismissed on Jan. 9 when Lehrkamp pleaded guilty to one count of indecent exposure involving a child. He now faces a maximum sentence of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine.

Darren Lehrkamp was charged with sexual contact with a child under 13, and a habitual offender charge was also added to his case due to a September 2017 third-offense DUI conviction. He pleaded not guilty to the sexual contact charge on Sept. 5.
