A 51-year-old man owes more than $10,000 to Davison County. Terry M. Durst faces a bill of $10,307.15 for outstanding court and legal fees, which date back to a 1996 case.
The Davison County clerk issued a warrant to have him appear in court Tuesday because of an unpaid balance that had reappeared in the county's system. Durst has a history of drug arrests dating to 2003 and again as part of a 26-person drug ring in 2004.
According to his statement in court Tuesday, Durst currently faces separate felony charges in Minnehaha County. The court agreed to have Durst pay $25 a month until July 1, and $100 a month after that, when he hopes to have a full-time job.
