ALEXANDRIA - A man was injured Monday at South Dakota Industries and was taken directly to Sioux Falls for treatment.

The man's name and injury was not available. Mitchell Ambulance responded at about 3 p.m., Hanson County Sheriff Randy Bartlett said.

Mitchell Fire Captain Mark Eliason said the EMTs never returned to Mitchell, instead transporting the man to Sioux Falls.

South Dakota Industries is located about 5 miles west of Epiphany on 245th Street. The company makes feeding equipment for hogs.
