Man dies in Sioux Falls motorcycle crash


SIOUX FALLS -- A man died Saturday in Sioux Falls when a motorcycle collided with a tree.

At 4:49 p.m., the 35-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, was southbound on North Valley View Road in Sioux Falls on a Yamaha R6 motorcycle, according to the Sioux Falls Police Department.

The motorcycle left the road and hit the tree at the intersection of West Pine Meadows Place and North Valley View Road. The driver was declared dead at the scene. No other people or vehicles were involved in the crash.

North Valley View Road was closed to traffic for about three hours Saturday as police investigated the crash.
