WAGNER - A man who has been convicted of 15 DUIs was arrested for driving a lawnmower while drunk.

Rudolph Ehrisman, 63, of Wagner, was arrested on Nov. 27 in Wagner after a law enforcement officer allegedly saw him driving a red lawn mower northbound in the southbound lane on Front Avenue in Wagner.

Ehrisman failed multiple field-sobriety tests, and a preliminary breath test revealed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.082 percent, court documents state. The legal limit to drive in South Dakota is 0.08 percent.

After locating Ehrisman's criminal history, law enforcement discovered Ehrisman has been convicted of 15 prior DUIs, seven in the past 25 years.

Ehrisman was charged with sixth-or-subsequent-offense DUI, a class 4 felony, punishable upon conviction by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
