ST. FRANCIS -- A 24-year-old man from St. Francis on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in far south-central South Dakota has been indicted for assaulting federal officers by hitting one in the stomach and side and spitting in the face of another.
James Two Charger entered a not guilty plea to the charges last week.
Two Charger faces up to 8 years in prison on each count.
The officers were trying to arrest Two Charger on March 1 when the incident occurred. A trial has been set for May 25.
