A Mitchell man was arrested Wednesday for possession of stolen property worth more than $1,000.
Jesse Pence, 33, was arrested Wednesday after police allegedly found him in possession of numerous items that were reported stolen from vehicles at several locations around Mitchell.
Mitchell police executed a search warrant on Pence's vehicle where officers found the stolen items, valuing more than $1,000, according to a statement released by the Mitchell Police Division.
The property confiscated from Pence was not identified. Police also recovered several other items believed to be stolen but had not been reported to the police department.
The Police Division is asking the public to report any items that have been stolen from vehicles and reminds everyone to lock their vehicles to prevent theft.
