WHITE LAKE - A man was arrested for DUI after a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday south of White Lake.
Robert Mohnen, 46, of White Lake, was driving south on 374th Avenue out of White Lake, about one-half mile south of Interstate 90, when his 2004 F-150 pickup entered the ditch and rolled, according to the Aurora County Sheriff's Office.
Mohnen told responders he was traveling at about 50 mph and swerved to avoid multiple deer in the road. A preliminary breath test allegedly revealed Mohnen's blood-alcohol content to be 0.227. The legal limit to drive in South Dakota is 0.08.
Mohnen was charged with DUI and taken to jail by a South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper.
Mohnen was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. There were no passengers. The pickup sustained about $10,000 in damage and was towed from the scene.
