A man was indicted Tuesday on charges of stabbing another man in the neck with the intention of killing him.

Dylan Blue Thunder is accused of stabbing the alleged victim with a knife on March 29 in Todd County. The indictment filed against him says the assault occurred on tribal land but does not specify where exactly the alleged offense occurred.

Blue Thunder is charged with one count each of assault with intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

As of Thursday morning, a court date had not been set in Blue Thunder's case, which will be handled by the U.S. District Court's Central Division of the District of South Dakota.
