Man, 64, killed in I-90 rollover near White Lake

Crash occurred around midday Wednesday

WHITE LAKE -- A 64-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 on Wednesday in Aurora County.

The crash occurred at 12:23 p.m. at I-90 mile marker 297, located 1 mile south of White Lake.

According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the man was driving a 1983 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle, drove into the median, and into the westbound lanes of traffic and eventually rolled.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The man has not yet been publicly identified.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
