MITCHELL — Here are photos from Dakota Wesleyan University's McGovern Day on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership building.

Dakota Wesleyan's McGovern Day celebrates the late senator’s 100 birthday, 50 anniversary of the 1972 presidential campaign and a celebration of McGovern’s work to alleviate world hunger.

Adam Thury joined the Mitchell Republic in March of 2022. He was born and raised in Mitchell, S.D., and graduated from Mitchell High School in 2015. He always had an eye for photography but started honing his skills mid-2014. He has worked on growing his knowledge of photography by shooting for local events.
