MITCHELL — Mitchell Republic subscribers may have their Wednesday, Feb. 22, print edition delivered late due to the blizzard.

Some editions have been delivered but the weather is causing delays in some parts of our region. The United States Post Office said it will be delivering mail, including our editions in some areas, where it's safe.

A multiple-day snowstorm has settled over South Dakota and has closed interstates, shut down state government offices and closed schools. The Mitchell Republic will be closing its office at 400 N. Rowley at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

All subscribers can read the E-edition online.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "Mitchell Republic." Often, the "Mitchell Republic" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
