Linda Lou Schlechter, 60, Scotland, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Good Samaritan Center, Scotland.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at United Church of Christ, Scotland, with the Rev. Del Neumeister officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Scotland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Goglin Funeral Home, Scotland.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1948, in Holland, Mich., to Lawrence and Pearl (Richardson) Hanson.
She graduated from high school in 1965 in Holland.

On June 27, 1970, she married Larry Schlechter at United Church of Christ, Scotland.
She worked at M-Tron in Yankton for more than 20 years, until 1989.
She was a member of Moose Lodge in Scotland.
Due to ill health, she had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Society of Scotland for the past 14 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Noelle Lynn Schlechter, Yankton; one brother, Peter Hanson and wife Linda, Jacksonville, N.C.; four sisters: Judy Conrad and husband Dennis, Madison; Betty VanFleuren and husband Cliff, Fennville, Mich.; Kristina Hanson, Dorr, Mich.; and Loretta Dykema and husband Dave, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004, her parents and one sister, Sally Hanson.
