To the Editor:

I sincerely hope you will join me in voting in the June 5 primary to keep Brenda Veldheer serving Davison County as its treasurer.

When I was on the Davison County Commission, I found Brenda to be extremely cooperative, hardworking and adaptable to changes required by state law or technology. Many days she would stay late to be sure all paperwork was done without the county having to pay overtime for the deputies to do the work. She also implemented inexpensive physical changes to the office that increased productivity as well as customer service.

Paying taxes, dealing with car titles or renewing license plates are certainly not on most citizens' top 10 of favorite things. Brenda knows this, and tries to work with the public to explain procedures and to reduce the amount of time it takes to finish one's business at the Treasurer's Office. Even more important than the best customer service from her and her employees, Brenda has consistently invested county funds for the best and safest returns for Davison County.

I believe Brenda has the experience and proven track record to be the best choice for treasurer for Davison County. Please take the time to cast your absentee ballot for Brenda Veldheer any time before 3 p.m. June 5 at the courthouse, or vote on Election Day at your regular polling place.
