MINNEAPOLIS -- The Mitchell High School boys' basketball team lost 51-38 to ESD rival Brandon Valley Friday afternoon at the Target Center.
Lynx senior Chase Douglas poured in 35 points for Brandon Valley, which dominated inside and kept Mitchell's normally explosive offense silent.
Brett Young led the Kernels, who fell to 3-3, with 15 points and Jake Schmidt added 12.
Mitchell and its fans are staying at the Target Center to watch Mike Miller and the Timberwolves play the Golden State Warriors at 7 p.m. Miller, who has missed the last five games due to a sprained right ankle, is expected to play.
