SIOUX FALLS - After two days of jury selection, 12 jurors and one alternate were seated Tuesday afternoon for a trial in a 2009 murder case, according to the S.D. Attorney General's Office.
Maricela Diaz is accused of murdering then 16-year-old Jasmine Guevara in rural Hanson County. Diaz, who was 15 at the time of the incident, is now 20 and has been in police custody since she was arrested in 2009.
The trial is set to begin Monday at the Minnehaha County Courthouse.
