James Russell Dominiack, 91, Mitchell, formerly of Chamberlain, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hickey-Wevik Funeral Chapel, Chamberlain.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1917, at Fort Thompson to Michael and Mary (Pekarek) Dominiack.
He lived most of his life in Brule County as a farmer and carpenter.

On Oct. 6, 1941, he married Lois Betty Steckelberg in Chamberlain.
He was a member of United Church of Christ, Chamberlain.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters: Karen Lunn, Mitchell; Mary Bravek and husband Leon, Pine Haven, Wyo.; and Joyce Coffin, Siloam Springs, Ark.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Mick, Presho; and Kenny, Chamberlain; and a sister, Marlys Chutter, New Orleans, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter, John, Ralph and Donald; and three sisters: Mary, Alice and Betty.
