LEAD (AP) -- Lead's Homestake Opera House has signed a three-year lease agreement with defense contractor Northrop Grumman.
According to media reports, the company is using basement space in the historic building for executive offices.
Opera house executive director Sarah Carlson said she began talks with the company in October, and the company moved into the space in April.
She says contract adds $14,000 in annual income to the nonprofit and will help with operating expenses.
Carlson says the Northrop Grumman office staff consists of four to five employees.

The basement of the Opera House also houses a SmartCenter conference room, which is leased part-time for yoga classes.
