Helping Hands 4-H Club holds November meeting

The Helping Hands 4-H Club met on Nov. 20 at Palace City Mall.

Emily M. led the 4-H Pledge and Mara M. led the Pledge of Allegiance. There was no secretary's report available. Treasurer's report was given by Mitch S. Motion to approve the report was made by Samantha F, and seconded by Caitlyn W.

Aubree T. led the roll call with "what is your favorite Thanksgiving food?" Sixteen members presented their favorites.

Old business: We discussed the Recognition Banquet, which went well.

New business: Motion was made by Taylor H. to purchase a wreath for the veterans and was seconded by Caitlyn W. Shelby R. motioned to do the Angel Tree following the kids wrapping. We will purchase one for a boy and one for a girl. Following that we agreed to proceed to Prairie Crossing to decorate with the Christmas ornaments we made.

Everyone needs to go online and register for the new 4-H year.

The Podzimek, Brakke and Mauer families will set up for the Central Electric supper. The Wiens, Miskimins and Ford families will tear down.

Caitlyn W. motioned to purchase T-shirts for the club, Samantha F. seconded it. Caitlyn W. motioned that we go ice skating for our Christmas party. Tonya will find a day.

The club set up a Christmas tree for the community to place socks on for the Salvation Army food boxes.

Meeting was adjourned by Mitch S. and seconded by Emily M.
