PIERRE (AP) - A Pierre man who got an AR-15 rifle as a present caused a commotion in his neighborhood on Christmas.
Police Capt. Elton Blemaster tells KCCR radio that the 67-year-old man was testing the trigger pull on Thursday afternoon when the gun went off, firing through a window.
Officers checked nearby homes and spoke to neighbors. No one was hurt and no damage was found. The man was not charged.
