GREGORY - A Gregory man has been indicted for second-degree burglary and forgery.
Roger B. King, 45, was indicted in April and appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on Nov. 13. He pleaded not guilty to the indictment.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is 15 years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine, three years of supervised release, an additional two years of supervised release upon revocation, and a mandatory $100 special assessment on each count to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
The indictment alleges that on June 9, 2012, King unlawfully entered a residence and wrote stolen checks to different entities.
King was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. A trial date has not been set.
