Gratitude shown for help with senior citizen gift program

On behalf of the staff at Home Instead Senior Care, I would like to thank everyone who helped with this year's "Be a Santa to a Senior" program.

With support from generous shoppers, Innovative Systems, the Department of Social Services and Walmart for their generous donations, and from Walgreens for letting us put our tree up there, we were able to collect more than 130 gifts for local seniors who otherwise might have been overlooked this holiday season.

We would also like to thank the many volunteers who donated their time to collect, wrap and deliver the gifts to the 130 area seniors, many of whom struggle to make ends meet.

Thanks to all those who helped us brighten the holidays for our local seniors and for truly making a difference in our community.
