SPENCER - A semi pulling two grain trailers went in the ditch Tuesday night, causing one of the trailers to tip on its side and forcing law enforcement to temporarily close the road.

The incident occurred at about 5 p.m. on State Highway 25 between 248th and 249th Streets in northern Hanson County, about 7 miles northwest of Spencer.

There were no injuries reported. The semi ended up in the west ditch of the road, while the rear grain trailer was tipped on its side. The truck was not carrying grain at the time of the accident.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating and the Hanson County Sheriff's Department assisted. No other information was immediately available on Tuesday.

Law enforcement briefly closed State Highway 25 Tuesday night to scrape the roadway, which had mud covering one of the driving lanes and was causing slippery conditions.
