Gloria Elaine Connot, 62, Burke, died on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, as the result of an accident on her farm.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Gregory Auditorium, Gregory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kotrba Funeral Home, Gregory.
She was born on March 31, 1946, at Burke to Roy M. and Ruby (Baxa) Stevicks.
She grew up on the family farm south of Gregory and attended Jones West Central school near her home.

She graduated from Burke High School.
After graduation, she moved to Pierre and attended schooling to become a nurse.
She married Richard Volk.
She returned to Gregory and married Jack Wenger. They moved to the Donason Homestead near Mills, Neb.
In 1990, she married Kevin Connot.
They milked for area dairy farmers and then bought the Parkside Motel.
They sold the motel and moved to the old Butler farm.
She was employed at Buche's prior to her death.

She is survived by her husband, five children: Rick Volk and wife Shelly, Eau Claire, Wis.; Julie Volk, Maple Grove, Minn.; Jackson Wenger and wife LeAnn, Rapid City; Shelby Bertram and husband Allan, Chamberlain; and Jerrod Wenger, Rapid City; 11 grandchildren, her parents, Gregory; six siblings: Norma Antrim and husband Bob; Roy Stevicks and wife Betty; Karen Gilbert and husband Glen; Debbie Hoffman; Renee Cook and husband Todd; and Rhonda Ehnes and husband Shane; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, John; and an infant sister.
