Friend de Coup wins big at state show choir championship

For the second consecutive year, Friend de Coup can be called the best show choir in the state.

The group was named grand champion in the Class AA division at the state show choir championship Saturday at Northern State University in Aberdeen.

Friend de Coup also won best show band at the event.

The state competition featured 11 different schools in various divisions. Sioux Falls Roosevelt Executive Suite took second place, while SF Washington Classic Connection took third.
