The theft at a trailer park located at 306 N. Dewald St. in Freeman and was reported to police at approximately 12:50 p.m., according to Freeman Police Officer Jonathan Slevin. Originally reported as a robbery, police are considering the incident a "theft by deception," meaning the suspect "scammed a lady out of her money," Slevin said.
