FREEMAN -- A two-car collision at the intersection of state Highway 44 and 435th Avenue at 1:08 p.m. Monday resulted in four people being taken to the hospital for injuries.
Highway Patrol Trooper Grant Lubbers said Kyle Huber, 16, of Freeman, was driving his 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix south on 435th Street when he failed to stop at the Highway 44 intersection, about six miles northwest of Freeman.
Huber's car hit an eastbound 2003 Chevy Malibu driven by Lynn Ymker, 17, of Armour.
Ymker's passengers were her aunt Julie Ymker, 46, and a cousin (Julie's daughter) Natalie Ymker, 19, also from Armour.
All parties were taken to Freeman Regional Hospital for treatment of potentially serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, Lubbers said.

All parties were alert and responsive, said Lubbers, who added, "They were very lucky."
A ticket will be issued to Huber for failing to stop and yield at the intersection, Lubbers said.
Trooper John Lord and Matthew Petersen also responded as did units from the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Department, Freeman Fire and Rescue and Freeman Ambulance. Both vehicles were towed.
All parties, except Julie Ymker -- who was seated in the rear seat of her niece's car -- were wearing seat belts, Lubbers said.
