Felony charges were recently filed against four individuals for thefts in Mitchell spanning as far back as August.

Eugene Fischer, 31, and Kristina Fischer, 35, both of Mitchell, were found in possession of a stolen rifle on Dec. 9 in Mitchell, according to court documents. They were arrested but released on personal recognizance bonds the next day.

Elmer Yellowhair, of Mitchell, was charged with grand theft after allegedly taking 2013 Chevrolet Equinox during a test drive from Iverson Chrysler Center in Mitchell. The vehicle was valued at $17,595.

Keith Taylor, 25, of Mitchell, was arrested for burglary on Dec. 8 for an Aug. 28 incident in which he allegedly entered a residence on East Fifth Avenue in Mitchell with the intent to commit a crime. He was released on a personal recognizance bond the same day.

Taylor was charged with second-degree burglary, a class 3 felony punishable upon conviction by up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.

Yellowhair was charged with grand theft valued between $5,000 and $100,000, a class 4 felony punishable upon conviction by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Eugene and Kristina Fischer were charged with grand theft valued between $1,000 and $2,500, a class 6 felony punishable upon conviction by up to two years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
