Econo Lodge in Mitchell evacuated guests Tuesday morning when officials called in a fire to Mitch-ell Public Safety dispatch.
Guests stood outside the hotel around 10:15 a.m. watching as firefighters tore some siding off the south side of the building to get at a possible fire. While police and hotel officials watched, two firefighters tore out insulation and inspected inside the wall.
There is no other word on damage or cause of the fire at this time.
